Kissamos, Greece
Kissamos, nestled on the northwest coast of the island of Crete, is a charming Greek town that effortlessly combines history, natural beauty, and modern comforts. Blessed with sun-kissed beaches, crystal-clear waters, and a backdrop of rolling hills, this town is a haven for beach lovers and nature enthusiasts.
But Kissamos is not just about its picturesque beaches; it boasts a rich historical heritage as well. The town is home to ancient sites, showcasing remnants of past civilizations with a rich history of Goddess culture. The lively town center exudes a warm ambiance with its traditional tavernas serving delectable Cretan cuisine, local shops offering handmade crafts, and friendly locals who are eager to share the town's stories and traditions. Kissamos is a delightful destination where visitors can unwind, explore the past, and embrace the genuine hospitality of Crete.
Soul Nourishment
When is the last time you didn't have to think about what to have for dinner, grocery shop and meal prep? Leave those worries back home because each day you will enjoy delicious, nourishing Greek food!
Wake up each morning to breakfast at our boutique hotel, including fresh fruit, oats, eggs, cereals, avocado & toast.
In the evenings, we will visit a local restaurant to dive into authentic Greek food, with at least 3 plant-based options, 2 meat options, and 2 pasta options every evening to satisfy the needs and cravings of each woman.
Savor options such as Vegan Moussaka - eggplant, lentils, potatoes, with a vegan Bechemal sauce or a salad with smoked salmon, cherry tomatoes, lettuce, and citrus dressing or maybe you desire a chicken dish with tomato sauce, cheese, peppers, and mushrooms. Of course, pita bread with Tzatziki sauce would be a perfect way to start!

Greece is home to Europe’s oldest civilizations, dating back to at least 800 B.C.E. Wisdom through ancient archeology throughout the country, paired with mythology steeped in wisdom that still applies today, will awaken your own awakening to the truth of your life’s journey. Crete is thought to be home to Artemis, Goddess of the moon, and Zeus.

Old Venetian Harbour in Chania: The blend of Venetian architecture, colorful buildings, and the sparkling sea, creates an enchanting atmosphere for you to remember the beauty that is available to us. Leisurely stroll along this ancient harbor while connecting with new friends on the journey!

From sunrise Goddess Flow yoga on the beach (in our backyard), to applying the art and science of wellness and happiness to your everyday life, you will explore an abundance of holistic healing practices allowing you to create new pathway for your own health and wellness elevation, even after you return home!
Whole-Being Wellness
We will take a day trip via high-speed ferry (a mesmerizing experience in itself) to the stunning island of Santori.
Here we will visit the picturesque village of Oia. Wander through its narrow cobblestone streets lined with whitewashed buildings adorned with blue domes and bougainvillea flowers. Take in the panoramic views of the caldera and Aegean Sea, and explore the boutiques, art galleries, and cafes along the way!
Day Trip to Santori
We will experience Greek Night, a highlight of our hosts, including delcious Greek cuisine, music, and dance!
You will also have the opportunity to attend a cooking class to inspire you to bring a taste of Greece back home!

A minimum $500, non-refundable deposit, is required for all reservations.
Cancellations made before January 1, 2025 will be refunded minus the $500 deposit.
Cancellations made on January 1, 2025 thru May 1, 2025 will be refunded at 50%.

Marie Kueny, founder of Goddess of Light Retreats, is an empowerment coach, international best-selling author, and curator of healing circles and retreats.
With a mission to bring more love and healing into the world, Marie offers powerhouse women premium experiences to soulfully heal and elevate their lives to align with their dreams and higher consciousness. Her training in various natural healing modalities, including reiki, Healing Touch, yoga, EFT, soul art, and meditation, make her an exceptional guide on the journey towards transformation and connecting women to their own divine wisdom through inspired action, especially in the midst of life transitions.

She has extensive brand marketing experience in IT, Hospitality and Luxury Consumer Goods space before going on her own. Kellie is also an experienced meeting planner specializing in site selection where she helps her clients find the best hotel venues best value for their in-person group meetings, events and conventions.
Kellie is passionate about curating an ultimate self-care holiday where vacation meets transformation. She wants every woman to treat herself to a beautiful destination holiday for herself, dedicated to bringing out her best self and discovering her true authentic self in the process, surrounded and supported by other amazing community of like-minded women. I’m so busy already with work and/or family obligations. How will I find the time to attend this retreat?
If you feel the pull of work obligations, remember your most valuable asset is not your employer or your business. Your most valuable asset is your health and wellbeing. This retreat will help you enhance your life in so many ways that you may even increase your productivity, creativity and innovation upon return.
You’re so busy putting everyone’s needs first…your partner’s, your children’s, your boss’s, etc. that you may not remember what it is like to prioritize your own well being and enjoyment. For that matter, maybe you never had an opportunity to really consider what would bring YOU joy.
I completely understand and was there myself. I left my three children at home with my partner and flew to Florida to visit my sister one weekend after she had her first child. Beyond visiting and cooking them a few meals, I was sans any obligations. I could finally just breathe again. I knew on my way back home that I not only needed to intentionally prioritize time to spend with ME, I needed to invite other women along!
Every mother who has come to a Goddess Of Light Retreat felt more expansive and free by reconnecting to herself and having supportive women by her side. Some women have even stated that they felt more compassionate towards their children when they returned home…myself included!

I have special dietary needs. Will the retreat staff accommodate me?
Absolutely! All of the restaurants will include both vegan and non-vegan options, as well as gluten-free substitutes.
Specific dietary needs and allergies will be passed on to the chefs where they will ensure that every meal is perfectly suited to your needs.
I do not know any other women on the retreat. Will I “fit in”?
Great question. We have had many retreat participants join solo and leave gaining a new group of sister-friends! As long as you are open to meeting new women and leave judgement of self and others behind, you will find an abundance of love and support. On one retreat, a woman realized that she was the youngest Goddess in the group and felt nervous about being able to relate to some of the other women. By the end of the retreat, she found a soul sister in a woman who was nearly twice her age and they bonded over shared struggles of motherhood.
The women who join our Goddess Retreats may experience differences of the outer world, but they learn to appreciate their own unique beauty and strength within as well as the connection they share with one another. We will have intentional practices to connect with one another and grow together!
